THE ETHNO TECHNO FEST
The Jain World School celebrated its very 1st Annual Day, ‘PARIVARTAN-2015’, on 26th December, 2015 in the school premises. It was presided by the Guest of Honour Padma Shri Dr. Manindra Agrawal, Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Dean of Faculty Affairs at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, also the recipient of 1st Infosys Prize for Mathematics and Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award in Mathematical Sciences in 2003. The other respected dignitaries present in the event were Chairman of Srinathji Group of Institutions, Mr. Amar Nath Agarwal, Member of School Management, Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Managing Trustee of School Management, Mr. Kapil Agarwal, Member of School Management, Mr. Shikhar Agarwal and Principal, Little Champs, The Jain International School, Kanpur, Mrs. Chandrani Banerjee.
The curtains rolled up at 4.00 p.m. with auspicious Lamp Lighting by Principal, The Jain World School, Mrs. Alpana Sahai and Dignitaries with ‘Ganpati Vandan’ by Music Teacher and Choir Students.
The evening was made more spectacular with cultural programs after Principal’s Welcome Speech. The cultural programs began with an unusual and eye catching act, ‘Maruti Vandan’, a special Dance Performance on Hanuman Chalisa, by Big Brothers of TJWS.
Apart from this, various other dance performances spread different flavours in the air, which included ‘Shimmy Shakes’, a cute, graceful and charismatic act of Western Moves and Lifts on various Bollywood Songs, ‘Lost Spring’, a heart touching and eye opening act against Child Labour, ‘Dance Dreamz’, a perfect Combo of Umbrella Dance and Fan Dance, an amazing act of colourful Chinese Culture by Fresh Buds of TJWS, and ‘One Country One Voice’, a Collection of Punjabi Bhangra, Rajasthani Ghoomar, Marathi Lavani and hilarious Lungi Dance, an act representing United India with a Diversified Culture.
The Choir Students also sprinkled their Magic of Music through ‘Rhythm’, Musical Waves of English Songs and ‘Suron Ke Sartaaj’, a Tribute to Legendary Singer, Kishore Kumar.
Not just splashing dancers and ravishing singers but handsome actors and beautiful actresses also showcased their hidden talent. While English Skit ‘Cinderella’ refreshed the old story of a Young Girl turning into a Princess in the minds of all, Hindi Skit ‘Vidyalaya Ka Nirikshan’ had the audience bursting in laughter as it demonstrated most famous and comic Indian Weapon ‘Jugaad’.
The honourable dignitaries, Mr. Manindra Agrawal, Mr. Amar Nath Agarwal and Mr. Shikhar Agarwal blessed the Students and Staff of TJWS with their golden words and inspiring speeches.
As a special appearance, TJIS Talent added the Magic of Instrumental Music of Old Bollywood Songs to the Environment of Festivity by playing with Musical Instruments, an ‘Orchestra’ Performance.
Tiny Tots of TJWS presented a colourful spray of their talents by their cute and dazzling Walk on the Ramp, ‘Starlight’. The show presented the Models of the Future in a very sweet and bubbly manner, where each and every model was the ‘show-stopper’ of the show.
The highlight of the Evening was the awesome, breath taking and most applauded performance, ‘Farsh Se Arsh Ka Safar’. It was a Musical Biography of Late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, a show based on the fact that ‘actions speak more than words’, a Mime act that showed the whole life journey of ‘Missile Man of India’.
Every event was introduced to the audience in a very friendly and hilarious style by the anchors of the event. Yes, they were silly, witty and comic but they were serious, down to earth and connected to their roots too. They kept the audience involved and made them laugh even while introducing them to the upcoming performance.They were stylish and smart. All and all, they were a perfect reflection of a Golden Tomorrow.
The confidence and the superb performance of all the students on the stage kept the audience glued to their seats, throughout the show. On the whole, the show which was the fruit of hours of tireless work on the part of whole team of TJWS was acknowledged by Mrs. Alpana Sahai, Principal TJWS, in her ‘Vote of Thanks’. After delivering Vote of Thanks, the Principal called upon all the teams of distinguished programs to come to the stage and dazzle it once again with their spectacular appearance as ‘Grand Finale’.
The event wrapped up at 8.00 p.m. with National Anthem. But, it wasn’t ‘The End’ but it marked ‘The Beginning’ of a new era, an era of knowledge, talent and skill which will enhance the confidence of the students of Mati to come forward and fly to the horizon, shine as the brightest star, Sun and lead the crowd instead of being a part of it, as said in the name of the event, ‘Parivartan’.
