SUMMER CAMP AT MATI

 

Summer is the time for children to take time off from the regular chore of going to school and getting down to the curriculum. So, the summer vacation is, in another way, an opportunity to hone certain life skills while having fun. To ensure that students enjoyed and learned various skills, The Jain World School organized a summer camp for its students from May 16-20, 2017.

The school’s vision of summer camp is focused on overall Personality Development along with creative sessions on art & craft and other activities.

“You can a make a difference”

“You can a make a difference” is an inimitable and unique concept, which helps children become creative, dynamic, productive and sensitive citizens of India and by instilling the belief that each individual is capable of making a difference.

The camp saw an overwhelming participation by 200 students, eager to avail the rich experience this camp offered in Sports, Craft, Music, Dance and Enrichment classes in Academic subjects. Special Coaches/Trainers and expert faculty members held sessions every day from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

The cricket aficionados were seen bowling, fielding & batting with equal passion. Carrom matches were keenly contested events. Basketball and football training sessions were well attended.

Art & craft workshop was a huge success. Children made colorful, attractive photo frames, jewellery boxes out of waste material, bags from old clothes and variety of sketches. Newly introduced skill, Needle work included hemming & embroidery. Neatly embroidered handkerchiefs were eye catching.

Students learnt to sing melodious hymns and other songs, both in English & Hindi. The Bollywood dances were a huge hit and many students joined the Dance Club.

Apart from the thrill of activity clubs, the students attended enrichment classes in English & Maths.

On the last all the activities were showcased and received a thunderous applause from the audience.

“This camp has introduced me to myself. Now I see myself as a capable and confident person,” says a student from class 8.

“Keeping in view the present scenario we strongly feel that a child should learn different skills of life, as it is a very important part of the growing stage of the child. We are happy that the school has taken the initiative to organize this type of unique and purpose-based camp,” were the sentiments of a parent.
