MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION AT TJWS, MATI

12.05.17

You are the embodiment of love,
You are like a boon from above.
Like you there’s no other,
You’re the only one, you’re my mother

The day that celebrates the essence of a mother is Mother's Day. One of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss. Mother’s Day is something everyone can relate to. People across regions, religions, castes, cultures, genders and financial status have emotions binding them to their mothers. There could not be a more universal celebration than this one. Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, we at JSS PS had a special celebration on mother’s day. As we know Mother's Day comes once a year. If we only comprehended a 10th of what our mothers did for us as children, and how they would literally sacrifice anything for us if needed, we would realize that one day is not sufficient. Mother’s Day should be a time to remind us that we have been neglecting our duties as sons and daughters. This relationship is sacred and so let us honor our mothers. The Little Champs at TJWS had something more special and unique to bring a smile on our beloved mother’s face “The Mom n Me” Day.

The little ones made their mothers feel special by performing for them. The programme began with a melodious song sung by Ms.Gitanjali Banerji, Pre primary teacher. An exceptional act was presented by Aakhya Goyal and Samriddhi Sood of pre primary and    Kashvi  Agarwal   of Grade 3 highlighting the anguish of children in an orphanage and their desire to feel the selfless of a mother. Harsh Yadav of Grade 9 &   Ayushi Yadav  of Grade 5 enacted a heart touching skit on how children forget the sacrifices made by their mother. The exquisite performances brought tears to everyone’s eyes. The school choir presented a lilting song written and composed by the music teacher Mr.Gyanendra Tripathi.

The mothers looked stunning in their yellow attires symbolizing the sunshine they bring into the lives of their children. Later they sportingly participated in 3 games that had been organized-Dress Up Your Child, Non Fire Cooking and Rangoli making. Winning mothers in each segment was crowned and given a prize.

The Principal Ms.Alpana Sahai honoured the mothers for their showering unconditional love on the little children and inculcating values in them.
