“EVERY DAY IS AN EARTH DAY”

 

 

The students of The Jain World School celebrated Earth Day with a medley of educational and fun activities. They were informed ahead about the importance of Earth Day and then through myriad conservation- related activities.

 

The day began with a special assembly. Students sang a special song to pay their tribute to Mother Earth. Mallika Gulati of class 9 A presented an autobiography of the earth. This was followed by poster making. Each child made a poster and inscribed his/ her earth day pledge on it. A few students made creative presentations on how to save the earth. Some posters are displayed on the school wall.

 

The students were then told to either find or write an appropriate verse on the occasion and then recite it for the class. Their teachers then elaborated on each one alongside.

The children also articipated in plantation drive.

The activities helped students assimilate simply yet clearly that our natural resources are limited and we desperately need to use them judiciously.
