PLANTATION DRIVE AT TJWS

The future will either be green or not exist at all.

This truth lies at the heart of humankind’s most pressing challenge, namely, to learn to live in harmony with Mother Earth on a genuinely sustainable basis.

Working towards this noble cause, The Jain World School organised a Plantation Drive on 14^th July, 2016, to sensitise students on the value of tree plantation. The students planted seeds at home as a part of summer Holiday Assignment.The saplings were brought to school and the students planted these saplings in the school compound during their Club classes. The School gardeners looked on and offered friendly tips to ensure that each sapling was carefully tended. Students became acquainted with the common names of the saplings like neem, kachnaar, tulsi, jamun, ashwagandha, They learnt about the urgent need to conserve environment and the importance of trees. All the students participated wholeheartedly in the initiative.
